Battle of the Books is an opportunity for students in grades 4 through 12 to participate in a reading event that is fun, exciting, and challenging. Students pick their teams, which can be comprised of 2, 3, or 4 individuals. The teams read from a list of 20 books. In February, the teams face off to see who knows the most about each of the books. The answer to each question must be the title of the book and the author. The winning teams from Mazomanie Elementary School, Wisconsin Heights Middle School, and Wisconsin Heights High School then participate in the State Battle of the Books. This final competition is done at each of the schools by logging into the State Battle of the Books website and completing the answers to several questions. In March, we find out how each team did in comparison to schools from around the State of Wisconsin. This year's Battle coaches are Mrs. Kim DeCock and Mrs. Melissa Hill.
